Special Sessions 6 (SS6):

Title: Advanced Control and Observation of Multi-Source/Multi-Converter Systems

  • Mickaël Hilairet, (primary contact person), University of Franche-Comté / FEMTO-ST laboratory, Belfort, France, mickael.hilairet@univ-fcomte.fr
  • Olivier Béthoux, Sorbonne University / GeePs laboratory, France, olivier.bethoux@geeps.centralesupelec.fr

Special session theme:

The objective of this special session is dedicated to hybrid energy technologies (fuel cells, electrolysers, H2 storage, batteries, supercapacitors, photovoltaic, etc), their control, observation and management including system monitoring, i.e. diagnosis and prognostic for transport and energy applications. In particular, topics of interest include modeling, control, estimation, diagnosis, prognostic, fault tolerant control and long-term planning for transport and hybrid energy systems based on aging components or environmental conditions, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHiL) for test validation.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and energy management of renewable hybrid electrical systems,
  • Real-time diagnosis and prognostic of fuel cells, electrolysers, batteries, supercapacitors, photovoltaic, etc, for ageing or fault tolerant control,
  • Electrolyzers, hydrogen storage and forecast estimation for long-term planning for stationary applications,
  • Real-time emulation with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) or Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHiL)
